The RC Syndicate flat horses made highly encouraging stable debuts earlier this month, with both runners showing plenty of promise for the season ahead. Greycee Bell showed blistering speed on her debut at Lingfield, whilst Letmelivemylife finished just over a length off the winner at Chelmsford and would’ve undoubtedly finished even closer to the winner if he hadn’t been short of room at a crucial stage.

12.07 Lingfield – Tuesday 7th November
Greycee Bell made her flat debut at Lingfield and did extremely well to finish within 3½ lengths of the winner, especially considering she was the outsider in the betting and was up against horses who already had race experience under their belts.
Having dwelt coming out of the stalls, she soon got into her stride and settled behind the front runners, and it wasn’t until the final furlong where she failed to go with her race-fit rivals. The promise was there for all to see though, and she should be seen to much better effect next time out. Racing Post’s Andrew Sheret stated in his analysis “She was a bit better than the result, prominent until fading late on debut.”, so with that in mind we’re confident she’ll finish even closer next time out!
The biggest positive to take from her debut was the fact she recorded the highest top speed in the race – a blistering 42.1mph! To put that in comparison, Frankel, widely recorded as the greatest flat racehorse of all time, recorded an average speed of 36.99mph in his demolition job in the 2000 Guineas. Greycee Bell’s impressive top speed at Lingfield has us extremely excited for her next race!
Letmelivemylife
7.30 Chelmsford – Saturday 11th November
Letmelivemylife dropped back in trip slightly to race over six furlongs on stable debut at Chelmsford, putting in a superb effort to finish within 1¼ lengths of the winner. He was repeatedly short of room in the final furlong and failed to get a clear run, so with a clearer path next time we’re confident he will go even closer.
Having been sent off at a huge 40/1, he made us proud to finish as close as he did, recording a career joint-best RPR of 91 in the process. Considering each of the four runners to finish ahead of him had a recent run under their belt, we can upgrade that effort and he’s sure to come on for the run. Racing Post analyst Tim Mitchell said “Letmelivemylife made a promising stable debut back from a 119-day break over a trip short of his best and might well have reached the frame but for getting tight for room inside the final furlong.”
He remains on the same mark for his next race and we’re excited to see what he can do with a clearer route. With five wins to his name already, confidence is high at Racing Club HQ that he’ll soon be adding to that in the near future!
